We believe in the power of prayer and in the power of community. In our city, there is a local governmental hospital that provides free healthcare for those most in need. It is overrun, crowded, and lacking in any comforts to ease long stays. Due to the system of medical insurance, many patients waits 1-2 months for non-emergent surgeries, especially orthopedic surgeries. The OBGYN floor is often full as well, with 6-8 patients sharing a room. We spend intentional time visiting and fellowshipping with the patients, offering gifts of hygiene supplies, diapers and wipes, and more. Many patients are open to prayer sessions and gospel conversations.
